1. About Hogu

Hogu is a social platform that helps people discover, create, and join real-life experiences. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Hogu mobile application (“App”). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Hogu.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Hogu. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 or older. If we learn that a user is under 18, we will suspend or delete their account without notice. Hogu is intended for personal, non-commercial use only.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for all activity on your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering, and to keep your account credentials confidential. You may not share your account, impersonate another person, or create accounts to circumvent a ban or suspension. Notify us immediately at support@hogu.io if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

4. Community Standards

Hogu is built on trust and respect. You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Post false, misleading, or deceptive content
• Use the platform for commercial solicitation or spam
• Organise or promote events that are illegal, unsafe, or harmful
• Discriminate against others based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic
• Collect or scrape other users’ data without consent
• Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any platform security measure

Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban. Serious violations may be reported to law enforcement.

5. Events and Real-World Interactions

Hogu facilitates connections between people but is not responsible for what happens at events or in person. You attend and participate at your own risk. Hosts are responsible for the events they create, including accuracy of event details and the safety of their guests. Hogu may remove events or accounts that violate our standards without prior notice.

6. Content You Share

You retain ownership of content you post (photos, bio, event descriptions). By posting content on Hogu, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and distribute that content within the App for the purpose of running the platform. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any content you post and that it does not infringe third-party rights.

7. Intellectual Property

All Hogu branding, design, software, and platform content not created by users is owned by or licensed to Hogu. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our platform materials without prior written permission.

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Hogu is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, the accuracy of user-generated content, or the outcome of any event or interaction. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hogu’s liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the App is limited to the greater of €50 or the amounts you paid to Hogu in the three months prior to the claim.

9. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through Settings → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your profile and associated data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App. Your continued use of Hogu after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and applicable national law. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the jurisdiction where Hogu operates. EU users retain any statutory rights granted under applicable consumer protection and data protection law that cannot be excluded by contract.
